End of Term Arrangements
As we draw to the end of this busy term, we would like to share with you our St John’s newsletter which will be sent out to parents/carers by email. When you read through our newsletter you will see that it is full of amazing accounts of how our students have made the most of their own special gifts, living life to the full by taking advantage of all the wonderful opportunities available to them. The joy, enthusiasm and fulfilment that our young people generate, when they commit themselves to the many activities outlined in the newsletter, enrich our whole community and, on behalf of our Governors and staff, we would like to congratulate our students on their achievements and endeavours during this term.
If you would like to request a hard copy of our Christmas newsletter, please contact Vicky Howard, Headteacher’s PA, on email@example.com and we can arrange to send you a copy. As a reminder, we will be breaking up for the Christmas holidays on Friday, 22 December at 1.00pm with the usual school transport being provided. This day will be a non-uniform day with a donation of £1 per student being collected in advance for our Project Peru. All of the money raised will help to support vulnerable communities in Peru where our Sixth Form students work with children and individuals who are less fortunate than ourselves.
In addition, may I take this opportunity to thank you for your kind donations to our foodbank collections. We have been overwhelmed by your generosity and we know that your contributions will make a real difference to individuals and families during this festive period. Thank you.
Following the Christmas period, students return to school on Monday, 8 January 2018.
On behalf of all the Governors and staff at St John’s, I would like to wish you and your families a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
